Artificial Intelligence, Policy Futures and Schooling: In the Search for Sustainable Scale Across Time and Space (2022 – 2025)
Project Brief
The Artificial Intelligence, Policy Futures, and Education project is a transnational initiative spanning across Pacific and European regions – Australia, Finland, and France.
The project deploys a participatory approach to collaborate with multi-scalar governance and transdisciplinary stakeholders, including students in secondary schools, as future generations, to prototype AI policy in the endeavour to develop holistic AI policy responses that co-imagine more ethical and sustainable futures.
Guiding Questions
-
What is our collective vision for the values and purposes of education systems that leverage AI technologies to shape ethical, equitable, and sustainable education futures for all?
-
What are the synergies between education governance and sustainability governance? How can AI policies support the development of synergies to holistically achieve ecological, economic, societal, and educational visions and goals?
-
What are the necessary constituents, what is currently missing, and what policy initiatives should be taken next to ensure the ethical and sustainable use of AI in education and society so that our shared visions can be achieved?
